How to prove your No Claims Discount

Prove your No Claims. No problem.

Now you've chosen Swiftcover, you'll need to show us proof of your current No Claims entitlement, but only if we ask you to. A renewal notice from your previous insurer should do nicely.

We know that other insurers can take a little longer to send out information. That's why we'll give you 14 days after you've bought your new policy to get your proof of No Claims to us.

We won't be able to return any proof of No Claims Discount so it's a good idea you take a copy before posting it to us.

Your proof of No Claims must be:

  • issued by your previous insurer in England, Scotland or Wales
  • less than 24 months old
  • earned in England, Scotland or Wales on a private car, or
  • earned in England, Scotland or Wales on a motorbike by a policy holder aged 22 or over
  • in your name as the policy holder
  • earned on a full UK or EU licence
  • used to insure one vehicle only

Because it can take up to three working days to process a proof of No Claims, we'll let you know when it's done. Remember to check your emails and My Swift Space - you won't need to call us to see if we've received it.
